Spraydecks...

Postby Paddy F » Fri Aug 31, 2012 7:47 am

Planning on getting a spraydeck in the not too distant future so any info would be appreciated on:
Good brands/any particular series of decks they make: Not too much of a hassle to put on, doesn't pop at really inconvenient moments, doesn't wear out really quickly
Sizing with regards to fitting on boats (I have a medium burn)
etc etc
Thanks
But it seemed like such a good idea at 4 in the morning...

Got a keyhole work deck, been going 2 and a half years now, and it's solid as. Although the IR decks are actually beautiful.
I'm not in Aberystwyth.

I got a work deck last year because everyone raved about it. Got a hole in it within 2 months and they wouldn't replace it because they said it was my own fault. It's now pretty worn after only a year.

I'm not saying don't get one as most people love them, but it does seem like every so often there might be a faulty one and their customer service isn't great. That said, waaaaay better than my nookie deck!

I got a big deck which fits both my boats pretty well.

I've just ordered a seals pro rand to replace my work deck.

Cheers guys will have a look into them, anyone know anything more about the IR ones, if some of their range aren't ridiculously expensive compared to the work then I may as well have a look while I'm earning...

I think you can't actually get IR stuff in this country and have to do it through a dealer or wait till whoevers doing a big order from america but I might be wrong, that seemed to be what happened with beckys cag anyway. Just saying incase you wanted it sooner rather than later.

Darragh has an IR deck I think so might be worth an ask. Mark Mulrain is the EU ambassador for IR kit so might be worth talking to him. I have his email from NSR so if you want to email him let me know, alternatively FB him (he's posted on the NSR page I think)
