Advice on the GoPro/ Helmet Cameras

Postby Alex O » Fri Jan 06, 2012 11:03 am

Hi Guys,

Thinking of using the GoPro for a project and just wondering what the recorded sound quality is like? From looking at the specs, it doesn't appear that you could attach an external mic to them?

Cheers!

Alex

generally i get rid of the sound from mine because it is me making stupid comments or whistling, however i think the quality is not bad, depends on what you want to hear and how close the sound will be i guess.

As for attaching a mic, you cant on the go-pro HD but i dont know about the new one the HD2, might be worth checking!
even on the highest throne in the world you are still sitting on your arse.

the sound goes to pot once you put the sealed back door on (which is obviously required for getting it wet) but if it doesnt need to be waterproof and just shockproof the sounds pretty good.this was done on mine with the not water tight back-door

Cheers for the replies guys, are either of you gonna be at the pool on Thursday? If so, could I have a quick play with the camera?
