Swimming...

Postby Pyro » Thu Mar 17, 2011 12:29 pm

...something that happens to us all from time to time. Some of us more regularly than others, but still. As a paddler, you're only ever between swims.

There's an interesting thread on UK Rivers (HERE) about swimming in moving water. It's something that can be confusing, panicky and hard work, but like boat technique, it's worth giving some practice time.

With that in mind, I'm thinking of heading over to Linton locks in the not-too-distant for an afternoon of swimming, farting around and having a barbecue. Probably Saturday 26th, if the weather's good. Anyone else fancy?

Could do. Could do both, if there's interest and transport.
