BUCS Polo 2010, 23rd-25th April

Postby Dárragh » Tue Apr 13, 2010 8:00 pm

The most epic week of polo ever in the history of polio

Wednesday 21st April:
The tournament is at Teeside Water Sports centre. We plan to leave mid afternoon (exact time tbc). The idea is to get a few friendly games with other clubs in the area before BUCs. To use the centre costs £5 per person including hot showers. The most important thing I need to know is who can drive, as this will depend on how many people can go. I hope to get as many people as possible! There will be more details about this soon.

Last ever Wetherby session: The pool has been reserved for a last practice session. I aim to get some tactics and training in and hopefully get those who didn’t play on Wednesday on the water. Yet again can I know who can drive?

The big one BUCS!!!

Date: 23RD – 25TH April

Where: Hatfield Water Park Old Thorne, Hatfield, Doncaster DN7 6EQ

Camping: We are camping so you will need to start a tent-sharing link on the forum. We get a meal on Saturday night but you will need to sort out breakfasts and snacks. Get those carbs up for some intense polo! The “party” on Saturday is Wild West themed and there is NO bar.

Cost: The total cost for the weekend will be £20

Transport and Kit: Can everyone please drop their kit off on Thursday evening between 7 and 8 before Polo. ALL kit will go down in the van on Friday.

The van and Sarah will be setting off at 3pm on Friday. The campsite will be open from 5pm so after all the other cars need to organise when they are setting off. (note that it takes about 1 hr to get there)

Provisional transport lists. Subject to change as people may have uni or can no longer drive:

Charley: Matt H, Andy J, Chris and Rob

Giles: Jake, Peter H, Emma T and Steph

James: David, Ross, Jethro and Beth

LEAVING AT 3PM:
Sarah: Naomi, Sabina, Lucy S and Nic

Van: Adam W (D), Matt Grimshaw and Darragh

The most important thing for BUCS is that you need you student ID otherwise you cant play!!!!!!

So hopefully your mind wont be melted from a huge influx of canoe polio information!

This is what I need from you:

1)Who can drive Wednesday (if you have roof racks)
2)Who can drive Thursday (if you have roof racks)
3) Kit dropped off on Thursday evening
4)Who is in whos car for BUCs
5)Student ID at BUCs
6)£20 for BUCs
7)Anything I have forgotten?
