Our ears do not have a flat response. So different frequencies of the same dB rating can be perceived to be different in volume. Also the use of the term 'power' within articles/books is a bit loose in my opinion. dBs is a ratio whilst power has units, but the units never stated.

While I acknowledge that at least some of the participants at the NSR will 'let themselves go' a little during the weekend, I'd strongly dispute the various ad-hominem attacks you have made by both email and Twitter. As the event is for University students, I think it's a little bit of a stretch to label them with a mental age of 10, or I believe your initial assertion was 6. Similarly, a number of them don't consume any alcohol, don't join in with the parties over the weekend and come primarily for the kayaking competition, which is the main point of the weekend. Like most large social groups, the participants of the NSR are from a very diverse mix of backgrounds, so it seems a little unfair to tar them all with your very broad brush.

I'd like to suggest that this section, including some of the 3rd paragragh is unnecessarily argumentative. Bear in mind anything you send to her you may find being published elsewhere and used against you later. Worth pointing out that the forum is open to the general public too.

Fundamentally though, Carrick is right. You've complied with all the correct procedures and regulations. Just be polite about it.

On a plus note she appears she'll be too busy with the Parliament Pedophile ring and other conspiracies to take notice of NSR this year :winner:
