NSR Info

Postby Conor Parkes » Mon Feb 29, 2016 6:13 pm

It's the final week before the big weekend, and here's a breakdown of lots of useful info!

When are we leaving?
Meet at Parkinson steps at 5.45 on Friday 4th.

What do I need to bring? - I ain't going to be warm!
- Sleeping bag(s)
- Sleeping mat
- Blankets
- Any personal items you may require....

- Plenty of warm and dry clothes! Pack what you need then add some more... Think layers here as well
- Normal paddling kit - think layers of synthetic clothing here - (see viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5977 for more info)
- Towels
- Personal items - There are cleaning facilities, but it's up to you! - hand sanitizer would be very useful!

- Saturday evening meal is provided, but you will need food for the rest of the weekend, and lots of it!

Kit drop off! - Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm at the Chapel

- Cash (there's no access to money on site)+ ID (e.g. driving licence AND Student ID)

- Personal Kit, i.e. boats etc - Tell me/Simon/Rhys before Wednesday as this needs to be loaded into the van!

The Weekend
When we get there, if people can help out with registration it would be great!
Helping out!
We need:
- Scribes and runners - whose job involves collecting the judges scores and taking them back to the tech team
- Toasty team - which involves preparing and delivering toasties to the safety team

It's really helpful if you can lend a hand for a while over the weekend, and you get rewarded! Speak to me/Simon/Rhys and we'll point you in the right direction!

You'll be told when you need to be on the water, so be ready to go! And help to bring boats back up to the top of the course!

I'm very excited!
